Joe Scarnici Los Angeles sports photographers

What’s more USA than USA sports? Joe Scarnici spent the entire summer of 2024 in Paris photographing Team USA at the Olympics—because nothing gets your inner patriot shouting like capturing American athletes going for gold. A seasoned photographer with five Olympic Games under his belt, Joe has built a career documenting the intensity, emotion, and pure grit of world-class athletes.

But 2024 wasn’t just about the Olympics. It’s been a year of pickleball, yoga, and, of course, some good old-fashioned American basketball. Whether courtside, on the field, or in the middle of the action, Joe thrives in high-energy environments where every frame tells a story.

When he’s not behind the lens, you might find him renovating his latest real estate project or trading jokes with his team. But one thing’s for sure—wherever there’s a great story to capture, Joe’s camera is already rolling.

Peter’s work includes many genres. He is passionate about sports, portraiture, travel, and landscapes. Although based in New York City, he has a second location in the Berkshires and works regularly with clients in both New York and Boston. He has easy access to the entirety of New England and is available to travel worldwide.

Images in this Showcase cover a wide range of work. There's a portrait from Venice; and locations including Antarctica and the Berkshires of western Massachusetts. Some newer work is included: scenes around the office, shot for American Commodities; students learning new trades in union training classes; and a conference on anti-trust law.

Michael Matsil New Mexico, California portrait photographers

"It’s that intangible thing we call 'style'. It’s that metaphysical thing that musicians call 'touch'. You can’t teach it because it’s in your body. I call it 'Visual Signature' and it is the sum of everything this photographer does and knows. I bring every bit of it to the photographic task at hand everyday. It’s adaptable. It’s reliable. It’s fun. It tells a version of the truth based on living evidence. It evolves and changes with each assignment. It’s always there regardless of what gear I use or software I run.

I can safely say I am a 20th century photographer with 21st century tools. That’s good for clients because I bring a perspective and evolved photographic chops that interpret, illustrate, and tell the story of your brand."

Lastly, a project for Ford at the press launch of the 2025 Ranger. "In the most basic terms, I click a button to capture a split second in time. In a more complex way, I am a highly detail oriented and technical photographer with a fanatical approach to composition, colour, execution and technique. Be it capturing the jumpers of Vanuatu Islands, a car shoot for Aston Martin Logonda or the latest Nike Kobe shoes, I am relying on over 20 years of photography experience to meticulously execute the vision of the client in the highest resolution possible, on time and on budget. As an ambassador to Phase One cameras, I am creating my work on the world’s most advanced camera system, with 151 mega pixels at my disposal to tell a story with each image produced.

Mitchel Gray New York Sports Photographers

Mitchel has done over hundred covers, a thousand editorial pages, ads, and web pages, created two best-selling coffee table books, had several NYC (and elsewhere) art gallery shows, and a bunch of videos – all with spectacular athletes, actors, and models.

But for this edition he is doing something different. Throughout his career, whenever he has been on location he has enjoyed shooting images of the places he has been – landscapes- and now he has decided to share a few. All the Bodies - 'In Action', 'At Rest', and 'Intertwined' are still his main focus, as are the portraits of celebrities, athletes, models, performers, and real people. And they are always viewable at the links below.

The 'Bodies in Action' photos feature pro athletes, film and TV stunt people, and spectacular dancers from great companies. Note that in each photo that appears to have more than one person in it, it is actually the same person in tandem with themselves.

Follow Mitchel on Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook to see his latest work, and check his previous Production Paradise features to see a selection of images.

Mitchel’s video partner is Sam Schmitz.
