Roxbury International Film Festival (19–27 June): The largest New England film festival dedicated to celebrating films by, for, and about people of colour, held at various venues across Boston.

Paul McCartney: Photographs 1963–64: Eyes of the Storm at the de Young Museum, San Francisco: With over 250 personal photographs, alongside video clips and archival materials, this exhibition offers an intimate look at the meteoric rise of the world’s most celebrated band.

Latin American Foto Festival (LAFF) at the Bronx Documentary Center (10 July – 3 August): Featuring large-scale works by both emerging and established, award-winning Latin American photographers.
